Cedar River Clinics are proud to provide abortion because abortion gives women freedom. We believe women can make the best decisions for themselves based on the conditions of their lives when they have unbiased information about options and support from whomever they choose to involve in their decision-making process.

Women notice the difference here.

  • We trust and respect women’s decisions. One in three women will have an abortion in their lifetimes.
  • We value the equality of all women regardless of age, ethnicity, language, income, sexual orientation, disability, body size, nationality, cultural heritage, religion or political views.
  • We believe reproductive and sexual freedoms are fundamental human rights for all women worldwide.

Physicians and health professionals at Cedar River Clinics are abortion care experts with many years experience. As the only AAAHC accredited abortion provider in Washington, our clinics meet the rigorous standards for quality set by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Centers and are the Number One place where physicians around the Pacific Northwest refer women.

Cedar River Clinics are also certified by National Abortion Federation, members of Feminist Abortion Network, and operated by the nonprofit Feminist Women’s Health Center (FWHC) of Washington State.

VISION: We have a vision of a world where all women freely make their own decisions regarding their bodies, reproduction, and sexuality — a world where all women can fulfill their own unique potential and live healthy whole lives.

MISSION: To achieve reproductive freedom, we provide abortion and reproductive health services and information, so women may determine their own destinies.

Cedar River Clinics is a social justice organization that combines direct services (abortion, birth control, reproductive healthcare), with advocacy and activism (to preserve and ensure access) and community education (to demystify health information and empower health decisions.) Charitable donations make a difference here.

FWHC was founded in Yakima in 1979 by two young women who wanted woman-centered health care in their community. Subsequently clinics in Renton and Tacoma were added when their physician-owners retired from medicine. Today, the Business Office is located in Yakima. Learn more at Guidestar.
